Transverse Testicular Ectopia with Bilateral Duplication of the Vas Deferens
Abstract
Transverse testicular ectopia is an uncommon anomaly which both gonads descend through the same inguinal canal into the same scrotal sac. Duplication of the vas deferens, also an unusual anomaly, was associated with the transverse testicular
ectopia in
a 8-month-old boy. He presented a right inguinal hernia and a left undescended testis. His right testis was palpable in the right scrotum; the left testis was nonpalpable Both testes, spermatic vessels and each duplicated vas deferens were
located
in
the right side. Both testes and cord structures were brought down on the same side and the left testis was fixed to the left scrotum through a transseptal incision.
